What is an RTD Sensor?
As the name implies, resistance temperature detector, RTD is a sensor whose resistance changes as its temperature changes. The resistance increases as the exposed temperature of the sensor increases.
RTD Vs Thermocouple
Sensing element of a thermocouple is two dissimilar metals, while a RTD uses a resistive wire element. Accuracy of Thermocouples are low while RTD is more accurate than a thermocouple. However, thermocouple can measure a larger range of temperatures.
We offer custom made RTD sensors to suit your application, with fast turn around time and competitive pricing. Also we offer a range on RTD based data loggers and RTD thermometers to monitor temperature in your processes. Please call our Engineers on 1300 662 720 to get a FREE Quote!
